Outlook plugin

S

Hi i have had a few issues with the outlook plug in and have narrowed it down to this.

when you click anything that should take you to a website it shows in the window in outlook, this then does not allow you to go back to the simple view, i have spent about 1 hour trying to fix this and its not sorting itself

this also happens in the windows app... this is a majour flaw in both apps

you have to uninstall clear chache and god know what else to get it back to the simple view... you should not be able to get to that content on the desktop or outlook version

Hello,

Please un-install your current Outlook Plugin, clear the cache for IE and install this un-released version.

https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/02cd062715e057dfa9ee118565c79108/as/OutlookTodoist.Adx.exe

Then install this un-relesaed version of the Windows App as well.

https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/5023a6d6c92501bdfb0e00969703a767/as/Todoist_for_Windows.exe (it may require right clicking, Run As Admin right now).

Let me know if the issues continue.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Having the same issue in Outlook and the Windows App. I installed the Windows App that was linked, and it works well, with no issue right now. The new Outlook Plugin, not so much. I uninstalled and re-installed a couple of times, does not work. I just get a blank side bar. I tried re installing the version available on your website, and that one does not work now either.

I'm using Outlook 2013.

Hello John,

The Outlook plugin always uses Internet Explorer to connect. Please make sure that you have the latest version of IE installed on your computer and that it has the default privacy/security settings. You can try to clear IE's cache and cookies or use the "Logout Todoist" button in Outlook's toolbar.

Also, please tell me - are you behind any corporate firewalls? Is it possible that plugins that connect to the internet are disabled on your computer (by an administrator at your workplace)?

Best regards,
David

It is my personal computer. I tried re-installing it, with the same issue. IE is the latest version, cleared the cache, default privacy/security settings, and using the 'Logout' button doesn't do anything but give me the spinning circle next to the cursor every time I place it over the Todoist section in Outlook.

My computer is running Outlook 2013 on Windows 8 Pro, 64-bit.

Here is the detailed message I get when I click 'Reload' on the Todoist button in the Outlook toolbar:

John,

We're sorry for the inconvenience. Please tell me - do you have Microsoft .NET Framework installed on your computer? Also, are you using any proxy server to connect to the internet? The second error message you've got shouldn't occur with a direct connection without any proxies or firewalls.

Best regards,
David

At the time, I was tethering my computer off of my cell phone for internet. But even when I am at home connected to my own Wi-Fi, I still get the same second message, HTTP 400.

.Net Framework is installed.
