Bug in parsing of task syntax with label and without checkbox ?

First of all, I am a new Todoist user and am quite pleased with the work you've done overall. The website fells very intuitive and easy to use.

I am just writing to notify you of a small problem I have been having, which is not very problematic but still a little annoying.

I am trying to setup a task without a checkbox, with a bold title and a label assigned to it. As I understand it, a * at the beginning masks the checkbox and bold titles have to be surrounded by !!, while tags begin with @.

If I enter my tasks as "* @label !! Task name !!" or "* !! Task name !! @label", the task is displayed correctly. However, on later edits, the task has been automatically changed to "@label * !! Task name !!" (the label is moved to the beginning of the field). If i save the task again, I get the label and the bold text, but the checkbox is shown and the task title shows the * at the beginning.

I think this is just a small problem with the automatic repositioning of labels in the task field, which is not handled correctly together with the * syntax.

Hello Julien,

Thank you for your feedback. This is a known issue, but actually non-trivial to fix. Nonetheless, we will look into it.

Best regards,
