Please tell me:
- When you go to Settings -> Reminders, do you have a default reminder type set up? If so, each time you add a task that has a due time, you will receive a reminder 30 minuted before its deadline.
- When you right-click on a task and go to the "Reminders" menu, do you see any reminders associated with these tasks? If so, you can remove them and if you don't want the default 30 minutes before reminders, you can disable this option in the Settings -> Reminders.

I agree with 'eldersmessiah'. The whole purpose of a tool, which claims to increase your productivity - is isolate you of your worst enemy - 'e-mail'. Sending e-mails defeats the purpose of the tool. I want to check my to-do list when I feel like it. Occasionally I might want to send the reminder, but only occasionally.
So, if e-mail isolation is a major goal, why you guys convert all my no-reminders tasks to the tasks with reminders when you converted my account from FREE to PREMIUM TRIAL. I did not want the reminders and now I have to go to each tasks and remove the unwanted reminder. So far premium made my life worse. is it what you wanted? If I wanted to have hundreds of e-mails in my inbox I would keep using the free Google calendar - it is really good in it.

The default reminder can be turned off. Head to settings (top right gear icon) and under Reminders, there is an option for Default Reminder, which can be set to no default reminder.

Thank you, Brendon. This is exactly what I did first this morning, but ToDoIst kept shooting me the e-mails because the default setting was copied to each task at the time of conversion.
