Order of label / tag display

PK

Is there a way to set the order in which labels / tags are displayed? For example, I have a "next" label, which I'd like to always appear first, if present, in the label list for a task. In "manage labels" there appears to be a number set for each label, but I don't know what these numbers indicate, nor how to change them.

Hello Paul,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to change the sorting on the label list, but we will consider adding such option in the future. You're welcome to vote for this request in our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/showProposal/242/

Right now, the labels are sorted by the amount of tasks they're used in so if you have 10 tasks with the label "next", you'll see a 10 next to the label's name on the labels list.

Please note that you don't have to go to the list to find these labels. If you see a task with this labels, you can click on it right there. You can also quickly search for labels. Simply type @next to the search box and you'll see all tasks assigned to it.

Best regards,
David

I'm not sure that my question was clear enough. I'm referring to the order in which tasks are displayed underneath the name of the task. See the link below for an example.

The votebox link didn't appear to be about this. Please advise.
Thanks,
Paul

Paul,

If you're referring to the order of labels within a task, then it's displayed exactly as you type it in. So, for example, if you add a task named:

Review s1a with Dan @next @dan

Then "next" will be shown first and "dan" second, but if you type:

Review s1a with Dan @dan @next

Then "dan" will be first and "next" second. That said, you can influence the order of these labels as you add or change/edit the task.

Best regards,
David
