Portuguese charaters on desktop application.
I have upgrade recently to newest version and I start having problems with the display of Portuguese characters, like ç, ã, í, on the desktop application.
When a task, created either on the web or on desktop application, has these characters sometimes they show as a blank square on the desktop application. If I changed the tasks correcting the “squares” the tasks displays correctly till the next reboot.
Sometimes they will maintain the characters, but, in some occasions, the problem came back again.
I'm using Windows 7 64 bit Portuguese edition.
Please try logging out of the app as well as making sure Internet Explorer is up to date, and also, clear the cache for IE.
Let me know if it continues after doing so.
This happens only with desktop application, with IE or Chrome as predefined browser. Both are up to date.
I've tried all your sugestions but the only way to put back portuguese chars is to write it again.
Thank you for your answers.
Please tell me - what exact key combinations are used to get these characters and which keyboard layout are you using?
I use Portuguese Keyboard layout.
Characters are obtained through "normal" keyboard keys.
Some of them are as folows: ç ã í á â ê.
For instance I can obtain char Ç using ATL + 128 (128 are numeric keys on the numeric keyboard).
Please clarify - so all those characters are mapped on the keyboard and you're not using Shift or Alt or Ctrl to create them?
Yes, all these ara normal keys on a Portuguese keyboard. I can also generate them as key combinations as with other keyboards.
Any suggestion to overcome this problem?
