2.3.1 update gone wrong

Todoist (Windows desktop version) asked me to update to 2.3.1 from 2.3.0. I clicked 'OK' and all seemed to work properly. Although the entire install process seemed to work, 'help->about' still shows 2.3.0 and I'm asked to install 2.3.1 every time I relaunch.

Also, I used to be able to view projects as a long, vertical list in the desktop app window, then click on a project to move to a long, vertical list of the tasks in that project. Now they're trying to display side-by-side just like the todoist.com web page.

If I wanted that display I'd stick with the website rather than the desktop app. What's broken with this update??

Hello David,

Please go to the Control Panel -> Programs and Features and uninstall the Todoist app from there. Then, please redownload and reinstall it from the file at https://todoist.com/windows - this should fix the issue with the update.

Reg. the project display - if the app gets resized enough so there's room for the entire project list, it will show up. If you resize and make it smaller again, it will revert back to the hidden "Show project" menu.

Hi David,

I tried that and unfornately the uninstall and reinstall didn't fix it -- still have a two-column view no matter what width I set the app window.

Just noticed it's showing the 'todoist' logo at the top of the app window too -- basically it seems to be just downloading and displaying the browser view.

Fixed by the bizarre expedient of right clicking the system tray icon and selecting 'home'. You live and learn...
