Outlook Add-In - Can't See Added Tasks on Android App

I like the idea of the Outlook add-In however, whenever I change an email to a Todoist task it just attaches the email to the task. That's sort of fine when I'm on my laptop, but if I pull the task up on my Android phone I am unable to open/view the Outlook attachment.

Is there someway that emails can simply be inserted as text in to the Todoist task and not as attachments? My work-around has just been to copy and paste the body of the email in the notes section of a new task that I create using the Windows 8 app. It would be nice to be able to do it right from Outlook.

Hi Walker,

Yes, unfortunately, the way adding emails as tasks work is that if you add it with Outlook it can only be opened with Outlook, and the same goes for Gmail. We will look to improve this in the future.

There are two ways of adding emails as tasks:

1. Linking to them using the plugin - in which case you must use the "Add email as task" link in the "Quick Add" menu or at the bottom of the task list while you're within a project, but this will make the link only accessible through the Outlook plugin.

2. Sending/forwarding mails to Todoist (Premium-only feature) - for that, you don't need the plugin, but this will not link the task to this message, but it will convert the entire body of the email to a task note.

Both options were described in detail on our blog: http://todoist.com/blog/2013/01/zero-inbox-policy-with-todoist/

Okay. I'll look forward to an improved Outlook app in the future! In the meantime, I'm going to have to unistall it as it has no value to me.

Thanks again for helping!
