Windows 7 app - failure to launch

For last two days, the Windows 7 app fails to launch with "Error: Generic Failure Occurred" displayed in blank console window. I uninstalled and re-installed, but with same effect.

App version; Windows 7 Service Pack 1

Hi Peter,

Please try uninstalling your current version, and installing this version.

Let me know if the issue continues.

I can confirm that this version of the application has successfully launched.

I had the same problem. Installed the RC version (v2.2.1.1.) and it started working. Now, a few days later I started getting the same error. Reinstalling the RC version did not help.

Hello Alex,

Please try to install this version: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/0759b8fb4bef4073670fe318cb0c2b99/as/Todoist_for_Windows.RC.exe and let me know if the issue persists.

David, tried the v2.2.1.2. It gives me "Unknown Error Occured" on start. I was getting "Generic Failure" message with the previous version.
Running Win 7 x64

Please tell me:
- Are you behind any firewalls or proxy servers?
- Do you use any anti-virus software?
- Did you install any network-related software at the time the app stopped working?

Best regards,

I just was able to "fix" it by completely shutting it down (stopping Awesomium and Todoist in task manager) and restarting. Hopefully it will continue working.
I am running Windows Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials. No proxies.
Thanks for your prompt help, David.
