Hi Kevin,

Please clarify for me if you are referring to our Desktop app, or our Outlook Addon, and what problem are you having exactly?

The latest version of the desktop app (2.2.1.0) should work just fine on 64 bit Windows 7.

This release of the Outlook add-on should also work just fine on 64 bit Windows 7 or 64 bit Outlook.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Kevin,

Could you please confirm for me if you have indeed installed the Outlook Addon version I linked to.

Do you have any proxies enabled? A firewall? Also, to confirm, does the web-version work without issue?

As for the desktop app, when you say it doesn't work, does it gives any messages, does it open and then crash, or not open at all? Please also try to re-install it with a download from our site: https://todoist.com/windows

I will give this information over to our developers and hopefully have a fix soon.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hello Kevin,

Please try to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework on your computer. You can get it from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851

As for the Windows app, please try to install this version: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/46df05282d620e14d9ddd8a60d813dad/as/Todoist_for_Windows.RC.exe and let us know if it works.

Best regards,
David

Hi!

I'm having the same problem with the Todoist.exe. Thought it was going to work better than the web version, which pops up an authentication window every second minute, wanting me to log in to the proxy server we use. But it doesn't matter wether I click yes or no to that popup, it reappears within minutes (or seconds sometimes).

But this last version you link to, the release candidate(?) at least opens a window which states: "Error: Connection Refused".

Should I interpret this as in "Todoist Windows app doesn't support proxies"? So I'm screwed either way...

Magnus,

The currently available version does indeed not support proxies, but we've made an update that does. You can download and install it from: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/29465f3a4c6c7f36ed42d9a1c6b294d0/as/Todoist_for_Windows.exe

We'll publish it very soon as there's an upcoming update to the engine it uses so we may want to implement that too.

Best regards,
David
