Todoist get an internal error etc etc

Hello!

D you have an email address on which I could attach pictures of the system errors I get and all the information's about the system I am currently running on my PC? (It's a bit cumbersome to type all the parameter's)...

For your information, I bought your premium service on the Itunes store from my Iphone however with your service I am using a gmail account that is linked to a different email than my Apple Itunes account.

Anyway my problem is that everything seems to work pretty well with the Iphone and the Chrome plugin but I cannot open the application that is linked on my PC desktop... which I think is the one allowing me to run todoist in what you call "Offline mode"..am I right?

When I installed this application your installer prompted me toward a flash player update and a series of windows framework downloads... everything went pretty well apparently, I restarted my PC twice and didn't get any errors but anytime I am trying to open the shorcut on my desktop I get a "Oops" error message saying "Todoidt get an internal error, please let it send us information about it, so we would be able to fix it ASAP".

Just need help to make this application run smoothly.

I repeat
Iphone app = work perfectly.
Chrome plugin = work perfectly.
PC desktop application = get an internal error.

Thanks for your time
Cheers!
Frederic

Hello Frederic,

You're welcome to send any additional information or screenshots to david@todoist.com

The email address you use with Todoist doesn't have to be the same that the one you use as your Apple ID. The Todoist account is upgraded based on what account you're logged in (at Todoist) at the moment you pay and according to our database, the email address you're logged into right now is Premium.

As for offline access - all our apps can be used offline. When you go to todoist.com, log in and then disconnect, you can continue to use the Todoist web-app offline. The iPhone app works fully offline as well same applies to the Chrome plugin.

Now, regarding the issue you're experiencing, please try to uninstall the app and install this version: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/46df05282d620e14d9ddd8a60d813dad/as/Todoist_for_Windows.RC.exe if the issue persists there as well, please tell me - what version of Windows are you using and please send any additional information or screenshots to the email address mentioned earlier.

Best regards,
David

Hello David!
And Thanks for your quick follow-up...

The download link you sent me is actually working perfectly so I don't think I need to use your email anymore.

Also I wanted to know how I can make the stand alone application to appear on my desktop as if it was a widget?

Thanks for your time
Cheers!

Frederic,

Please clarify - how would you like our app to appear as a widget? What operating system are you using? Are you referring to Windows 8 native apps?

Best regards,
David

Hi David!

I am under windows XP Pro version 2002
Service Pack 3.

Yes I'll be glad if my Todoist main list would appear at startup like anything that's on my desktop... shortcuts or even the few Rainmeter widget indicators I already have. Without the needs for me to open the standalone application neither my chrome browser.

In short..the standalone Todoist app acting as a widget at desktop startup.

Am I clear?

Thanks for your time
Cheers!
Frederic

Frederic,

Unfortunately, we're unsure what you're referring to. If you have other existing widgets in your system, it would be very helpful if you could send a screenshot of it to david@todoist.com

Best regards,
David

Hi Federic,

At the moment we do not have any official Widgets (any platform) for Todoist but we are always looking to improve and you are welcome to add the suggestion to our Votebox:

http://todoist.com/Vote/

We do have an API, so there is a possibility that someone has made a Rainmeter script or a Widget of some sort, but we do not know of any at the moment.

Thanks,
Brendon.
