Clearing the automatic reminder when a task is entered
Is it possible to prevent an automatic reminder from being set when entering a task?
For example, can I enter <no reminder> or some other phrase when entering a task to prevent a reminder from being set?
Related question: when entering a reminder for a new task and setting a due date, two reminders are set --- the default 30 minutes before due date reminder and the reminder I set using <remind...>.

Unless you have notifications turned off there is not currently a way to remove the automatic reminder when entering a task. You can Go to the web -> Settings -> Reminders and select "no default reminder" but that will be the same for all created tasks. Remember that reminders are only set if you have a time set, if you enter a date only, there is no reminder for it.
You can instead, click the gear icon next to the task, and click "reminders" and remove the reminder from there.
As for the second question, you can follow the same steps and remove or add the reminders you would like from there.
