I can seem to attach any files to my in the notes section of my tasks. Tried in the chrome app and then retried in web browser. Attaches but then asks to if I am sure I want to cancel if I try to close down the box. It appears to have been attached but thinks I want to cancel if I try to exit box.

Hello Mike,

Unfortunately, this feature doesn't work in the Chrome extension, but in the web-app, you shouldn't be asked if you want to cancel.

Please confirm if these are the steps you take:
- You go to todoist.com
- Click on the note icon of a task
- Click on the attach files icon
- Select a file from your computer and click "Upload files"
- After the file gets uploaded and the link to it shown in the note, you click on "Add note" and then you see a box asking you if you want to cancel?

If so, please tell me - what version of Chrome are you using?

Best regards,

what I've understood on web only, is there any other platform supported for the attach thing?
can I attach from the mac or windows app? or at least can I view files attached using the web portal in other platform?

Hi Haltham,

You can do all these things from all desktop platforms, Chrome just does not allow uploads within an extension. Our mobile apps should allow adding and viewing of attachments in the near future as well.
