How to I set the end date for a recurring task.
sybtax: every monday until june 10 2013
would the above complete on June 10th?
At the current moment it's not possible, but we will consider adding such an option in the future.
You're welcome to vote for this request in our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/showProposal/214/
For now, you can either delete the task or, before the last event occurs, set it to the single specific date in order to "complete" it.
Or, right-click on the task and choose "Move to history" or hold the SHIFT key while checking it off which will force-move any task to history.
I just ran into the problem. I need to call someone everyday at 2 pm for the next 4 days.
So I have to schedule a separate task for the next 4 days?
Or have you added this feature yet? Recurring events without end dates is a real shortcoming. :'-(
It has now been added, though using SHIFT and checking it off will remove it for good.
Thanks for the quick reply!
So there is no programmable end date; so I can't enter tue, wed, thu, fri. @ 2 pm. One has to do it manually when the task has been completed? :-S
My last reply was supposed to say has "not" been added. The SHIFT feature has always been there. That is the only option at this time.
Thanks for clearing that up. Really need that calendar app don't we. (star)
Is there an update on end date for recurring tasks? Would appreciate if this was enabled (unless it already has been added and I just haven't found how to put it to use)
Also wondering about if this has been implemented?? I really need the option of setting ie. every 7 day and end it at a specific date..
Any news about that?
I'm also still wondering about this much needed feature as I expressed to Support in the couple of years I've been with ToDoist. I remember it was actually the second most sought after request when you had the Vote options. (Last time I checked this was taken down.)
I appreciate the nature of developing for multiple platforms, yet I'd still be curious for direct feedback from the development team as to what the issue with adding this might be. I mean it in fact should actually be relatively simple update - especially when compared to some of the more extensive ones that the developers have been able to incorporate.
Thanks in advance for the feedback from yourself, David or anyone else there 'watching'.
