reminders settings changed?

All my reminders settings changed themselves. I had the default set to no reminders, and I had deleted all of the reminders from tasks that were created before I realized I could set the default option to no reminders. Suddenly, I have reminders on all my tasks again - mobile push notifications 30 minutes prior to the task due time. I've changed my default settings back to "no reminders", and it seems to be working correctly now, but I'm still stuck with a ton of tasks that now have reminders I didn't want. What happened? And how can I make them go away - do I have to go through and delete all of them one by one again?

Hello Jess,

Unfortunately, the only way to remove reminders from tasks is one-by-one, but this shouldn't have happened in the first place - your settings should stay and also tasks in which you've removed the reminders should not have them back/

Please tell me - did you perform all these changes online? Did Todoist at any time went into offline mode and if so - did you perform a sync afterwards?

Also, if this has happened within 24 hours, it's possible that you have an automatically created backup of your tasks at the moment when they didn't have their reminders set and you could restore it as shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U96Nco_but4

Hi David-

I mostly use Todoist via the website, and as far as I can remember I haven't used Todoist in any offline mode or done any syncs since 2-3 days before this happened (and things were fine in those intervening days), so it seems to me fairly unlikely that's where this originated....

And while I do appreciate your backup restore advice, it's been more than 48 hours at this point - and deleting the reminders is less annoying than trying to figure out what I've added/changed/completed since the restore point anyway! =(

If I can provide any further info to help you identify what happened, just let me know.
