Outlook 2007 - Add In won't enable (wrong path?)
Hi, all installed semingly OK.
Open Outlook, no visible changes.
Looked in Trust Centre, manage COM add-ins.
Todoist is inactive, tried enabling, restart Outlook - but still inactive.
I note however that the file path for the add-in appears incorrect:
I tried manually adding it but says the dll is not a valid office add-in.
Win 7 32 bit & Office 2007.
Please try to uninstall the plugin (it's listed as "OutlookTodoist" in the Programs And Features menu) and then install this version: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/6d48d3aaeb65b9bca3dc3068008d08ec/as/OutlookTodoist.RC.exe and let us know if the issue persists.
I've the same problem.
I try your new version, but doesn't work too.
I've Office 2007.

Looked in trust center:
"managed add-in loader failed to initialize"
Same filepath as before.
Also this version doesn't create an uninstall entry.
Please tell me - did it at any point give you the option to send an error report to us? We're aware that the issue persists in this version, but unfortunately we're having difficulties identifying the source of this issue therefore this version comes with an error reporting system that should show a message asking you to send an error report to us.
Also, please tell me, do you have these components installed on your computer:
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4 ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=9cfb2d51-5ff4-4491-b0e5-b386f32c0992 )
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools (http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=35594 )
No error report prompt.
MS .Net Framework 4 'client profle' & 'extended' are installed.
When I first installed todoist this was prompted incidentally & extra components installed.
VS 2010 tools are not installed.
Please install the VS Tools as well as they're required for our plugin to work. We will include them in the installer in the next update.

i have the same problem with Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 64bit, VS Tools and .Net installed. I tried all the different versions you offered for downloading in the support threads.. none worked.
There is no error report prompt and in the COM-AddIns Options it just says "runtime error on loading" (translated from german ;))
Any suggestions would be much appreciated :)

Please try to install this version (save it on your drive and then right-click on it and choose "Run As Administrator") and let us know if the issue persists.
Also, please clarify at what point exactly do you see this error message and we would appreciate if you could sens a screenshot of this error to email@example.com
I tried it, but I am afraid it didn't work. I sent you an email with the screenshot, I hope it will help but I doubt it ;)
Thank you very much for the screenshot, I'll pass this information to the developers, but please tell me - when you check the box in the COM Add-ins section, does it activate the plugin or not. And if not, next time you go to this section, is the box still checked or not?
Checking the box does not activate the plugin and it is not checked the next time I go there.

unfortunately there is no log file and the directories mentioned above do not exist...
I searched the whole C: drive for "*todoist" and included hidden files, but still nothing.
Thank you for this information. Please tell me - did you install Todoist on the C: drive or a different partition? Please try to search for *todoist on all your drives on your system and let us know if you find the logs.
I used the standard install path (C:\Program Files (x86)\OutlookToDoist) and didn't change anything in the settings during setup.
Also, there are no log files to be found anywhere else on the hard drive.
