Sorting Problem

SJ

I have my home page set up with today, overdue, & tomorrow. The problem is that every day for the past week now even though each task shows the correct priority, it keeps putting them all out of order and won't let me reset it by priority. So I have to go through and reset each one before I put them in order and it's taking me a half hr for the process. Why is it doing this and how do I fix it??

Hello Sarah,

Please tell me:
- What browser are you using?
- Can you reproduce this issue in a different browser (if so - which one)?
- Are you referring to tasks that don't have a due time?
- Are you postponing tasks or use drag & drop to move them to a different day?

Best regards,
David

I use the Google Chrome Browser. I'm not sure about others because I don't use them ever. I've been using the "Do it today" recently to get certain ones moved to the current day instead of altogether skipping them. I have multiple tasks in categories of categories you could say so the past do just makes it more difficult for me. Once I get them to one day, I use the priorities to set the estimated time frame they will be completed in - ie: before work, work, after, etc. It's then that I order them via dragging within their priority sets but it never let me drag to other days before, and if I already have them postponed or whatever to the current day, I don't have to worry about that really. I literally have around 100 things to do everyday though.

Hello Sarah,

We would greatly appreciate if you could check if the issue persist in a different browser, but alternatively, you can also go to Chrome's Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Content Settings -> All cookies and site data, remove todoist.com from this list, reload the browser and let us know if the issue persists.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to reproduce this issue so far. Every manual reordering of tasks changes the default position where tasks from a certain priority are displayed. Each time you use the "Do it today" or "Postpone" feature, the task is being moved to the place where most other tasks with the same priority are (to group in the same area).

Please tell me - does any of these task have a due time (for example: ev day at 2pm)? Tasks with due times are always displayed at the top sorted by time.

Best regards,
David
