session expired

Hi,

I've just signed up today; after entering a few tasks I got an error message that the session is expired, try to login again. I clicked on OK and the message kept coming back. Same when I tried to switch off the window or reload the page. Tried it with both MS IE and Google Chrome. After numerous refreshes finally it is back again. For how long I wonder. Can you help?

Hello Roland,

Please tell me:
- Are you using Todoist in more than one tab in your browser?
- Are you using Todoist in multiple browsers simultaneously?
- Do you have any ad- or script-blocking plugins installed?

Im facing the same error as Roland right now. Its not working not just in my Todoist, but on some other users on my company.

What can we do?

Was checking settings in todoist for mac and it just randomly gave me a 403 error. I also suddenly started to have issues staying logged in.

I am getting the same behavior. I have been a premium user for months. This is the first stint of instability that I have seen in the platform. Hoping this can be resolved.

Same issue here in Windows client and on web. Automatically signed out with no warning. Tried to log back in again, successful for a moment then automatically logged out again.

I am also experiencing this problem. This is the first time I've experienced the problem and I am not using the program differently than I have any other day.

Please help as I have made todoist the central nervous system of my work flow.

I've recreated the problem by repeatedly clicking the refresh shortcut shown in the attached screenshot. BTW i'm using the 'login with google account' method.

We are having the same problem on 3 different computers with 3 different users. It happens on the Mac OS X client, Mac Chrome, Windows App, and Windows Chrome.

Same, I've been actively updating tasks and it seems as if I'm often losing my session after updating a task or group of tasks. This is on OSX using both Safari and the Todoist application. I also left a session idle on a Win7 machine using Opera and when I went back to that machine, the session had expired. I've had a session open on my iPad for about 15 minutes. That session seems stable, changes made on other machines are syncing to the iPad and I can make changes on the iPad without the session closing.

We are still having this issue. Sent invites to another user to join a project and now every time he tries to accept, he has to log back in and gets a "session expired" notice after about 5 seconds. Very frustrating.

Hi Kori,

We are very sorry to hear you are having this issue. Could you please clarify:

- if it is happening only for one user?
- When exactly does he get that error message: when accepts an invitation? If they doesn't click "accept", does everything work properly?
- Which browser are they using? Could they try it in a different browser to see it works there?

It is only happening to one user. He is using Google Chrome. He was trying to accept invitations from me. No, none of the Todoist is working for him, unfortunately (we tried to just have him view his dashboard and see if he could accept the invites through that.)

We'll try a different browser and see what happens.

I'm having this problem every other day on the OS X application, but never on any web browser applications or iOS. But since I'm mostly using the OS X app, it's a bit irritating...

Hi Anders,

Can you please try the following steps to see if it helps?

1. Open the Terminal app

2. Copy the line below and paste it in the Terminal. Press ENTER

rm -rf ~/Library/Containers/com.todoist.mac.Todoist/Data/Library/Application/Support/Todoist/LocalStorage/


3. Uninstall the Todoist app

4. Go the Mac App Store and download it again

5. Clear the cache of the Mac App via the Preference window one more time

6. Log back in again
