Can Todoist be added to the Outlook Quick Access Toolbar?

SL

I don't want the Todoist window to be open all the time when I'm using Outlook 2010 (it's a space hog) - just when I need it. Can I add it to the Quick Access Toolbar so that I can open it when I want, and close it when I don't? In the Outlook Add-Ins tab, I find Todoist, but when right-clicking, the "Add to Quick Access Toolbar is greyed out. Am I missing something? Thanks...

Hello Stephen,

Unfortunately, that's not possible right now, but we will try to address this issue in the next update of the plugin which we're already working on.

Best regards,
David

I have the same question, almost exactly two years later!

Is this now possible or at least on the feature roadmap?

Hello James,

You can see an "Add to Todoist" button in the bar at the top and you can use the arrow at the top of the plugin pane to show/hide it on the right side.

Hi David,

I use the button you've mentioned, but for my workflow it would be optimal to have the same button available when I open up a message (i.e. after having double-clicked it), in the "Message" ribbon. I believe this is how it's implemented for Evernote.

If this is something that can be considered for a future release, that would be cool.

Side note: how can I find out the current version of Outlook add-in I'm running? And does it update automatically (a-la Google Chrome)? I've heard the green "New Version Available" link only updates the 'web core' and not the full application.

Thanks,
James

James,

We will consider adding such option in the future, our new .NET developer will help us prepare an updated version, hopefully soon.

The app should automatically tell you that an update is available and ask if you want to download/install it, but we may also announce a new version on our social media pages, blog or through a newsletter :-)

Regards,
David
