How I can insert an enter, it doesn't work with the key. I can only insert an enter if I copy it from another document (word,...). Is ther any combination keys to insert an enter?

Thanks a lot

Hello Jordi,

We strongly recommend to use task notes if you need to add much information to a task. You could use Ctrl+M to break the line within a task name, but this feature is no longer supported and may be deprecated in the future.

I basically do not use the notes functionality as it is all hidden when I print out my report to submit my tasks and activities.

Thus my tasks look like:
Task Header
Brief description of the task comes after a line-break

Disabling this feature (line-break | Ctrl+M) will surely have an effect on the tasks layout which will make my reporting on my tasks even harder to manage.

I've noticed you can use the HTML line-break tag <br> but it is much cleaner with Ctrl+M

Hello Nick,

All notes are being printed. If you use the "Print current page" option from the gear icon in the top-right corner, you'll see a message asking you if you want to include task notes in the printout. If you choose "Yes", you'll see every note below any task that has a note.

Best regards,
David

Hi David

AWESOME!!! I only see it now. I have not really noticed that it does that as I always use the browsers default printing options.

It makes more sense using the notes now.

Best regards,
Nick.

Hi David

The notes do not print on the "View All Completed" page. It is important to also have the option available here please.

Much appreciated and thanks, Nick.

Nick,

Notes indeed don't show on printouts of archived/completed tasks, but we will consider adding such option in the future and you're welcome to add this request to our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/

Best regards,
David

Hello Rogerio,

Unfortunately, we won't support Ctrl+M and we do strongly suggest to use task notes for additional information. All your notes can be printed and will be visible below each task. When you use the "Print current page" option from the gear icon your browser will ask you "Do you want to include notes" and if you agree - you'll see all notes there.

Best regards,
David

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I just found this when specifically searching for how to add a line break to a task.

I agree that notes is a good feature for more information, but since notes are not displayed in the task list directly (and there does not seem to be an option to enable viewing them) little tidbits of information I want readily accessible when reviewing my lists are not practical to put into the notes.

So, for the time being I will also use Ctrl+M... and would add a request to either support line breaks OR enable a way to view notes in the main task view. (HIGHLY suggest this be an option to "enable" or "disable" as appropriate. There will be times i want to view my notes... and other times not.)

Same for me. <br> doesn't work in the Android app and, as many of you say, notes are hidden. Please keep the function ctrl+M.

Subtasks and notes should be in the same sceen. This is how Wunderlist works and it's one of it's most important features.
