How do you promote/convert a task into a project?

I saw this in one of the videos but can't find it again.

(Todoist Windows)

Hello Bill,

It's not possible in Todoist to convert tasks into projects. You can view all our videos on this channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/IstProductivity please let us know which one you're referring to.

Promote to project is a pretty essential function I think. There are many times were a task becomes more complicated than at first glance and needs to a project. Just my two cents, would love to see see it as an option in the task menu.
Thanks, Ian

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the suggestion. We really appreciate user feedback when considering features for new updates. You can currently create several levels of sub-tasks under a parent task, but I understand it's not the same as converting it into a new project. We'll consider that capability in the future.

If you have any other questions or suggestions, don't hesitate to keep reaching out.

Is there any other way around? Means I want to convert Project to Task containing subtasks and merge it with the existing large project.
