Auto-update of Windows app


I have installed the windows app and have noticed a couple of issues (every time you open it you need to enter in username/password, it crashes when creating some tasks) and it made me wonder - am I running the latest version of the clients. And if not, will it auto-update?

There is no way to see the current version. Or is there?

Hello Hamish,

Thank you very much for your feedback. Unfortunately, we can't reproduce the issues you've described.

Please tell me:
- What version of Windows are you using?
- What version of the Todoist app are you using?

We will consider adding an easier way to check the version number in the future, but for now you can see check the version on the Add/Remove Programs list. The latest version is 1.8 and the app should attempt to auto-update if a new version is available.

I am using Windows 8 64bit, and it's version 1.8.

Please try to uninstall the app and download and install the recently published version 1.9: https://todoist.com/windows and let me know if the issues persist.
