Hello Miles,

To un-complete a task, simply enter the project in which you've completed it, click on the "Get completed tasks" at the bottom of the list and uncheck it.

David

Hi!

What if the task does not belong to any specific project, only to the inbox? I am afraid that in this case it is not possible to reactivate the task, is it correct? Do you intend to offer this feature?

Thank you in advance,
Emerson

Emerson,

The Inbox acts like any other Project, you can un-complete items there as well.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Brendon,

I can't find the "Get completed tasks" option in the Inbox. I am using the Chrome extension but I also tested on Chrome itself and IE.
Sorry for not making it clear from the start.

Thanks again,
Emerson

Hello Emerson,

The "Show completed tasks" link is a circular icon visible in the bottom-right corner of any project incl. the Inbox. Please enter the t inbox and scroll down to the bottom of your task list there to see it.

David

There it was, indeed, David and Brendon!
Sorry for the inattentiveness.
When do you intend to offer this feature on the Android app? By the way, I've just voted for the "Have an option to view completed tasks" suggestion.

Best,
Emerson

Emerson,

Unfortunately, we can't give you any specific release date when such option will be available for our mobile apps, but we're surely considering adding it in future updates.

Best regards,
David

I accidentally checked off a parent task and it completed a series of tasks below it. I've got to the project, selected the show completed items icon (clock) , but all the deleted tasks have no box to uncheck.

Meaning, where the box would be it's just blank.

When I try to get there another way, like with a search, the boxes appear, but when I select them to uncheck them it just repeats this "loading" pattern over and over and never changes status.

How can I uncheck these items?

Thank you!

Hello Adam,

Please tell me, was the parent task a completely un-indented task or was the parent itself already on indent level 1 or 2? Also, if you go to Karma -> View all to see all completed tasks from all projects and access the notes section of these tasks, can you un-check them from there?

David

Thank for the response, David!

To answer:
1. The parent task was at the "root" of the Project. Top level.
2. In Karma, interestingly, nothing there at all has the checked box. Just empty space.

While checking something to compose this response I tried to open Todoist in Safari instead of Chrome or the Apple App. And everything showed up and let me uncheck it.

So I guess now the question changes to - what happened in Chrome and how do I reset it so it works there as I have the plugin installed and it's my preferred browser.

Cheers!

Adam,

In Karma -> View all, tasks won't have a check box, but if you go to each task's notes/comments section, you can see the check box there :-)

Glad to hear you could find them through Safari, though, so it seems it might have been a caching issue.

That said, please go to Chrome's Advanced Settings -> Content Settings -> All cookies and site data, find and delete all Todoist-related entries there, reload Chrome and make sure to always access Todoist through this exact URL - https://todoist.com with nothing else in it.

David

David,

1. Thanks for pointing that out in the Karma... Found it!
2. Cleared the cache on Chrome following your directions and everything seems to be working great. Thanks for the directions.
3. So my last question is how to do you clear the cache on the Apple native app? I was having the same issue in that as Chrome.

Thanks again!

Cheers,

Adam,

In the Mac app, you'll have to go to the app's Preferences - either through the top menu or using Cmd+, (that's Command and comma). Here you'll see a "Logout and clear cache" option :-)

David
