+ Add Question

I currently work in a group that requires me to submit a daily report of my activities. I am required to list action items that were completed for that day, as well as all action items laid out for the next day.

I am very comfortable with your app, and would like to encourage it's use company wide. However, I need this feature. I need to be able to generate a report of both completed and scheduled tasks for a given time period.

Is there a reasonable workaround? Perhaps there is a search query that will allow me to do this?

If I solve this issue, I believe I could convince ownership to require it's use company wide.

Hello Barry,

Although Todoist doesn't offer any direct options to generate reports, you can print any view using the "Print current view" option from the gear icon in the top-right corner.

In order to print a list of completed tasks, click on the "# Completed" link in the top-right corner and choose the timespan you want to see (you can also filter it by project or label). This list contains all completed tasks including every completion event of recurring tasks.

To see a list of tasks due today, simply type "today" within the search box and print this view.

Also, if you're working in a team and would like to have a clear overview of what tasks have been completed throughout the day, assign tasks to different colleagues invited into projects, share updates, upload documents - all in one place, we recommend out team-based project management tool https://wedoist.com

Best regards,

I'm working on a reporting tool for Todoist tasks in order to automate the generation of weekly, monthly and project reports. The tool is currently close to beta status, if you want to be informed when it's ready please subscribe in www.weekist.com

If you have any suggestion regarding the functionality you expect to see feel free to send me your ideas to weekist@bitmoon.com

You can find a short article on Weekist in http://alberto-villa.com/weekist-simple-report-generation-from-todoist-tasks/. I've included the link to the source code hosted in Github.

I agree with the OP. This feature would be very useful.
