Having Problems adding Todoist Tasks to Mac Calendar in Mountain Lion

the only support info (and video) that I can find on Todoist's site doesn't help with set up within newer versions of Calendar (as in the version that comes with Mountain Lion OS).

I've guessed that I can use the CalDav option, but even then it gives me errors like "server with secure communication unavailable"

Please advise what steps are necessary to get todoist items added to newer versions of calendar on a mac.

Hello Shane,

Please refer to this page: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2513 for more information about the Mac iCalendar.

Also, please try to find an option to subscribe to iCal or maybe add a new calendar account.

Alternatively, if you click on the calendar icon in Todoist's Settings -> General (next to the iCal feed), your system should ask you what software you would like to use to open this feed giving you a choice between all supported calendars installed on you computer.

Best regards,
David

David, after reading this I noticed a few things...
A.) The link you posted is not valid for Mountain Lion...
B.) I tried clicking the calendar icon and I got an Error 7 message because the request had timed out. (This may be specific to my machine but i'd doubt it.)
-------------------------------------
To do this in Mountain Lion

1.) Open the Calendar app (no longer called iCal)
2.) Choose File > New Calendar Subscription (Cmd + Opt + S)

If you want to auto-sync this with an IOS device make sure you save this calendar to an iCloud account if you have one setup on both your Mac and IOS Device. I just tried these steps and it worked perfectly.

Hope this helps :-)

And now I need it. Any change that Todoist company to solve this ? Or to provide a steep by steep documentation? You have study Steve Jobs’ Strategy to Assign Tasks but you are not able to sync iCal with Todoist ?

I really wait an answer :)

Andrei,

So you open the Calendar app, go to File, Add New Subscription and it simply does not work?

I agree however that the info video that is linked to todoist doesn't show this way to link. It shows how to do it with ical://etc etc etc. It took me some hours of frustration trying various ways that didn't work until I found this thread.
