I tried the new Android app on my NEXUS 7: The App shows NONE of my tasks - tried 2 different Accounts... :(
Please tell me, did you participate in the beta earlier? If so, you must go to the Apps Settings, clear the cache, then uninstall the old app and then install the new one.
I had the same problem, you have to press "sync" ehwn using the app for the first time.
Unfortunately, the app is pretty useless when you are not a premium member because you are only allowed to sync once a day....
