I have the default reminder set to a push notification.
When I go into a task, to set a reminder, I only get email as an option. If I use <remind ...> it sets a reminder using the default delivery method. I then get two reminders. one at 30 minutes before the task, and the one that I have just set.

If I set the default reminder to "No default Reminder", I still have only email in the task drop down, but when I try to set the reminder <remind...> it says under Service, "no_default" and I dont receive the reminder

So can I adjust the default reminder from 30 minutes, or is there anyway to select Push as the reminder option for individual task, using <remind..>

Also is there a way to set a relative reminder using <remind ..> because when I postpone the task the absolute reminder does not move with it

Hello Sean,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to set a relative reminder using the <remind> tag, but you can use recurring dates while adding an absolute reminder, for example: <remind every day at 2pm>.

As for the push notification issue, please try to choose "Push notifications" as the default, add your mobile device and then, if you want to set a specific reminder, choose "Mobile SMS" from the reminder options and let me know if it works. In general, if you're logged into the mobile app while an SMS reminder is supposed to arrive, it should become a push notification instead.

Best regards,

That doesn't work. I have the android app installed, I selected mobile SMS, put in my details. The sms option appeared in he drop down, but it sent me an SMS, not a push notification.

I also removed the registered mobile device and tried it again, but I still get the text message.

i'll stick with the default reminders for the moment.

Hi there,

this also happens to me. I set the default reminder to push notification (it works, I tried sending the test reminder) but the only option I get in the reminders drop down is Email.

Are we still not able to adjust the default reminder time? It's ridiculous that I have to add 30 minutes to everything so the default reminder happens at the time I actually want to be reminded. This has clearly been an issue for a couple years. It's about time Todoist makes the change.
