Sub tasks staying on list when completed?

BR

When I have sub-tasks and mark them complete they grey out, but stay on the to do list. Is this supposed to happen? Is there any way to have them move to completed other than manually archiving or deleting?

Having a to do list full of already done items is really annoying.

Hello Bryan,

This is supposed to happen. By default, sub-tasks stay on the list until its parent task is completed. You can move them by right-clicking on them and choosing "Move to history".

If you always want to move sub-tasks directly to the history in the future, you can hold the SHIFT key while checking it off which will remove it from the list right away.

Best regards,
David

Shift click worked like a charm. Thanks.

And thanks for the amazingly quick response. Active community involvement and response is one of the main reasons I switched over to Todoist.
