It doesn't look like the original developer is providing access to the todoist plugin for Launchy. Can Todoist create and provide a supported plugin for this application?
Thank you for your suggestion, we appreciate it. We may indeed consider such solution in the future and you're welcome to add a request to our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/
@Stephen, I was wanting the same functionality, and was able to set it up with a simple VBS script as outlined in a Lifehacker article here: http://lifehacker.com/5190601/email-yourself-reminders-from-launchy
This isn't ideal because it leaves your Gmail account info exposed, but it does get the job done. Just input your Todoist email address in the "To:" section and you're good. If you're using two factor authentication with your Google account, remember to set up an app specific password.
Here is David Karlsson's script (add into Launchy plugins folder: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6248132/Scripts/Todoist%20Launchy%20Plugin.zip)
I just successfully installed the plugin, added my Todoist API token, and set "Inbox" as my default project.
Now do you happen to know how in the world this is intended to be used?
I found this guide: http://lifehacker.com/297083/add-to-your-to-do-list-via-launchy-with-the-todoist-plugin
As per the guide, I attempted to add a task named "test", but it never appeared in my inbox.
I would make sure that when you type todoist into launchy it is picking up the app not the icon. Then click the tab button and add your item. Did you get a list of projects in the launchy todoist admin screen?
I do see a list of projects on the Options screen so I know that Launchy has properly acknowledged my Todoist API token.
Nevertheless, when I type "Todoist" into Launchy and see the "T" icon, I'm unable to add a task that saves over to my actual Todoist inbox.
Would any of you who have the original plugin repost it somewhere since it's no longer available from the original developer?
Here you go:
And you are clicking tab after seeing the t?
My entire flow is as follows:
Open Launchy > Type "todoist" > Hit Space Bar to see and confirm plugin's "T" icon > Hit Tab > Type name of task and hit enter to submit.
When I check with Todoist, the task never actually goes through.
Thank You Neil.
Sorry, Artem, I'm at a loss. Perhaps try selecting a different project in the Launchy options?
The only other thing to check would be that your firewall isn't blocking it the launchy command.
