How do you update the ToDoist - Google calendar

I added my ToDoist to my Google Calendar, but it will not update. Every time I change a due date or add a new task in ToDoist, must I also add a new version of the Google Calendar?

Thank you

Hello Amanda,

you don't need to re-add the iCal feed, it will refresh automatically. Most calendar software will refresh the feed instantly, but unfortunately Google syncs it only once a day. This is unfortunately beyond our control as it's Google's setting. We will try to come up with an alternative solution specifically for Google Calendar, but for now, the sync rate in this software is only daily.

Best regards,

Hello David,

It does not update at all, not even daily.

did full 24 hours pass since the time you've added a new task?

Please try to add 2-3 test tasks, due:
- tomorrow at 9pm
- every day at 10am
- sunday

and check if they appear in your calendar after 24 hours.

Also, please make sure that you're not subscribed to the iCal feed multiple times. To do so, click on the arrow next to "My calendars" and chose Settings. The Todoist feed should appear only once.

Please ask Google to give us more updating ability for calendar and todoist. No wonder I am losing things on my calendar!! Thanks!

Hello Marylee,

we're sorry for the inconvenience. We are looking for a way to bypass Google's iCal update times, but for now we have no influence on their settings. We also hope they will change the intervals for the updates.

This would be incredibly useful if you could update it. I hope you find a way to bypass this soon!!
