Ordering & grouping of tasks a complete hash

ML

Using the free version, on Firefox (latest), cleared my cache, closed my browser, reloaded, but since yesterday the ordering of overdue tasks has been all over the map (2 days ago listed before 5 days ago) and tasks are broken out so I multiple "Today"s listed (with, say, 2 tasks here, 1 task there, and 3 tasks over there -- instead of one "Today" listing with 6 listed tasks).

Anything I can do to get this working again? Bug on the Todoist end?

Hello Mark,

we are aware of an issue in Firefox that may cause issues with overdue tasks. We are working on it right now. It seems to persist only in Firefox.

To make sure that this isn't caused by a different problem, please go to Firefox' options -> Advanced -> Network tab, clear the "Application data" (under the cache options), remove todoist.com from the list of sites storing offline data, use the "Exceptions button" and remove todoist from this list as well (if it's listed), then access todoist.com directly (not through a bookmark), and choose "Allow" if it asks you to store offline data on your computer and let me know if this issue persists.

Best regards,
David

Thanks, David. Worked through the above on two different machines (home and office) but it hasn't "fixed" the issue in either case -- which just leads me to believe what's going on is the Firefox bug (haven't tried opening yet in another browser or on my iPad yet either).

I'll just be patient and keep an eye on things.

Thanks,
Mark.

I noticed that the view changed for me yesterday too. I'm using the free version with Firefox 14.0.1.
I tend to use 'view all' to display my projects and tasks/sub-tasks. As of yesterday - 25 July - I can no longer see which of my tasks are sub-tasks, as they are all aligned to the left. I notice however, that when I go to each individual project view, my sub-tasks and hierarchy is still there and views ok. The problem for me is just with 'view all' and sub-tasks. (Ordering seems to be ok).
I checked with IE9, and this problem exists with that browser as well. I've also cleared my caches and followed the instructions given by David above, but no change.
Not sure if I should have raised this as a new question?

Hello Kathryn,

indeed, we've notice that the issue with the display of overdue tasks also occurs in Internet Explorer, we're very sorry for the inconvenience, we are working on it right now.

Also, I've passed the issue regarding the aligned sub-tasks on the viewall page. Thank you very much for your report.

Best regards,
David

Hello,

the issue regarding tasks being aligned to the left regardless of their indent level on the viewall list has now been fixed. Indent levels are now being properly displayed in this view.

Best regards,
David

The seemingly random ordering and breaking out of multiple past events from the same day is still happening, though. I know y'all are probably busy working on it but is there any expected timeline for a fix? I didn't think it would but this is really degrading the usefulness of Todoist as a tool for me. Thanks.

Thanks, David; that's what I figured but thought I'd ask (in hopes, perhaps, that a fix was imminent!!).

Hello,

this issue has now been fixed. However, it will only affect newly added tasks and your current tasks need to be reordered manually. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
David

If you say so... obviously I'm not seeing it. Yet. Just fyi: the breakout of past events (that is, having multiple "4 days ago" listings/headers) is still happening -- apparently based on whether they are recurring or singular events. So for all past days on which you have events there are two listings if there are both one time and recurring events under that particular day.

Mark,

the issue regarding multiple display of tasks on the "overdue" view has not been fixed yet, we are still working on it.

What has been fixed is the issue reg. tasks not being sorted by priority and grouped by project (aside from being split). However, this fix will only affect tasks added from now on and your current tasks will need to be reordered manually.

Best regards,
David

Same issues here. No particular rationale for how past events show up.
