Can't sync with google calendar

I am a pro user. I just added the todoist to my google calendar, and see the tasks on calendar successfully. But no matter I add or delete any task on todoist, the google calendar can not sync. I have tried some other apps like Doit.im, it can sync with google calendar perfect, and it's live. So it's not google's issue.
Is there any method to solve it?

Hello David,

unfortunately, the sync rate of the iCal feed depends on the rate that the calendar software refreshes it and Google synchronizes it only once a day.

The application you've mentioned most likely uses direct Google App integration to send data to the calendar (not a standard iCal feed). We will certainly consider implementing Google's Tools incl. a direct Calendar sync in the future.

For now, the only workaround is to re-add the iCal feed to the Google Calendar. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,

Why isnt this fixed yet? There are a hundred other GTD apps that sync right away! You have had over two years to get this working. :'-(

Unfortunately, that's not something we can fix. This is how Google treats iCal feeds, but we will consider implementing a direct calendar sync option developed specifically for Google using their API in the future (that's what other apps do, though this works only for Google, unlike our universal iCal feed).

Best regards,

Thanks for the tip IQTell ... I'm going to try !

Indeed, it's very annoying: in order to delete a task in google calendar, we need to delete the calendar on google UI then re-import the calendar using the iCal URL, "just" because Todoist app does not use a Google API which can update the calendar directly ... ;-(

It looks feasible to keep the current mode as default behavior and perform in parallel the API call if google project ID (ie :"Client ID" & "Email address" of the App Engine) are set in the Todoist settings.
It's not very intrusive in the Todoist code, there is no front end UI to be updated.
Everything very transparent...

It probably does require about less than one week.man to do...

Need any help for more input ? ;-)
