I don't want to receive any email notifications from Todoist. How do I disable all of them across the board?
every email you receive from Todoist has an unsubscribe link at its bottom. Please click on this link and you will not receive any further notifications.
I don't think that's correct.
Here's one of the emails I got from Todoist today:
'Contact 15 dealers'
is due in 30 minutes (03. Jul 2012 at 07:15)

There is no unsubscribe link or way to stop receiving these notifications.
these are email reminders for tasks that have a specific due time. In order to stop receiving these reminders, go to Todoist Preferences (upper-right corner) -> Reminders and choose "No default reminder" from the drop-down menu.
It is already set to "no default reminder".

do you see the reminder icons next to the tasks you're getting reminders for (it's a small clock icon to next to the due date)? Also, if you right-click on these tasks and choose "Reminders" are any reminders set for these tasks?
David, mine is set to 'mobile push notifications' as the default, yet I still get the reminders via email. I want to only receive the push notifications. How can I do that??
This setting applies to reminders added after you use this setting. So from now on, every new task with a time, will get a mobile push notification reminder, but if you still have some tasks that have reminders set to email, please right-click on each of these tasks, go to "Reminders", delete the old email reminder and set a new one.
The above solution is really time consuming -- i have over 200 tasks which have reminders. If i disable the universal setting, it should apply for each of those tasks -- whether created before or after.
I agree. I don’t think I have 200 tasks -- I just started yesterday. But the thought of having to change it to “no email reminder” on each individual task is daunting, and not exactly a time-saver, which is why I signed up. I do not want any reminders other than the to-do list I made on my computer. It is annoying to get another email reminder every time I turn around.

You can go to the Settings -> Reminders and select the default reminder time and type or choose "No default reminder" which will no longer set reminders for tasks with due times automatically.
However, all tasks that already have reminders attached to them won't lose these reminders if you change the default setting so you'd have to remove the existing reminders from these tasks manually, unfortunately. This can be done by right-clicking on a task and going to the "Reminders" menu where you can delete the reminder using the trashcan icon.
I have been trying to do each one individually but each individual one already said No Default Reminder. Thank you for the tip about the trash can. Just went through and did all of them and hopefully they are gone forever!
I was going to say that this would be a good thing to let each User choose for themselves rather than having notifications as a default. But my guess is that notifications are desirable for the majority of your users.
