Indentation in Firefox plugin is off

P

Hello,

I have noticed today that indentation for tasks/subtasks in the Firefox plugin is slightly off (looks pretty ugly I must say).

It looks like this:
[] task1
> [] task2
[] subtask1
[] subtask2

It should look like this:
[] task1
> [] task2
[] subtask1
[] subtask2

The issue has appeared today. The indentation is fine in the web interface. Reloading the Firefox plugin doesn't help.

Thanks

Unfortunately, all the spaces have been removed from my previous message, so it doesn't help much. If you need a screenshot, please send me an email.

Thanks

Attempt #2:

It looks like this:
_[] task1
_> [] task2
_____[] subtask1
_____[] subtask2

It should look like this:
__[] task1
> [] task2
____[] subtask1
____[] subtask2

'_' is for spaces.

Thanks

Hello Pxm255,

thank you very much for your report, we've been able to reproduce this issue. It's related to the introduction of our new drag & drop feature: https://plus.google.com/106827182652048588353/posts/Pb7evk3oAFK

Each task has now a handle on its left side allowing you to reorder tasks anytime and it seems that it displaces tasks that have sub-tasks in the mini version which is used by our Firefox plugin.

I have forwarded this to the developers and it will be fixed as soon as possible.

Best regards,
David

Pxm255,

unfortunately, according to the developers, it won't be fixed. A fix would require placing all tasks with a broader white space on the left side and the limitations of space for our the plugins are already quite limited.

David

That's too bad :( It is not only physically unappealing, but also confusing. Because of this false indentation, it looks like some tasks are subtasks of other tasks when in reality they are same level tasks.

Is it possible to shift everything to the right a little bit, so that there is enough space for both the new drag & drop feature and '>' indicator so that all tasks are aligned properly?

Thanks

Pxm255,

unfortunately we can't do that as it would decrease the space in the Todoist Mini version which is used not only by the Firefox plugin, but also by Todoist for Chrome, Todoist Anywhere, Todoist for Outlook and Todoist for Thunderbird.

Still, we appreciate your feedback and you're welcome to add your request to our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/

Best regards,
David
