Can I share my list with my SO?

If I want to create a project called "hubby's todos", is there a way to share that list with him if he also has an account?

Secondly, is there a way for it to update on my account if he checks something off in his account after we've shared a list with each other? The app called AnyList does this and it's a great feature!

Hello Cheri,

unfortunately, such direct task sharing is not available in Todoist yet (it's possible with our team-based project management tool https://wedoist.com ), but we may implement it in the future.

For now, it's only possible to add tasks to someone else's to-do list. To do so, the recipient must have a Todoist Premium account which would give them access to the "send tasks via email" feature. Then, your email address could be added to the recipient's account, they could share a unique project address with you and you could send emails to this unique email address to add tasks to a particular project on someone's list.

This feature can be accessed by clicking on the envelope icon in the top-right corner of your task list (while in project view).

Best regards,

So do only one of us need the premium account or both? You said only the recipient? So that would be the person I want to send tasks to correct?

yes, a Premium account is required to receive tasks via email, not to send them.

Anyone can send tasks even without a Todoist account, but their email address needs to be added to the recipient's account (see instructions after clicking on the envelope icon at the top of the task list in any project) and they need to know the unique email address for the particular project.

Best regards,
