Why Todoist not available during 4 hours?
we've been experiencing some technical issues which we've fixed right now. We will investigate the cause of these issues to prevent any outage in the future. We're very sorry for the inconvenience.
Large server downtime!!!
Every 3-4 months.
You say not so often?
And I say that for such a service is VERY often!
Only in January, our uptime dropped below 99% and ever since, we're using Amazon's Cloud services and are trying our best to keep the uptime above 99%.
Furthermore, we're already working on making the whole service HTML5 compatible which would mean that it would be accessible offline and have already made out mobile site: http://todoist.com/m fully capable of working offline (through any HTML5 compatible browser). Our iOS app runs offline as well as the upcoming Android app and the new iOS app.
We're very sorry for any inconvenience caused by these downtimes.
Does not work in Firefox!
Please clear your browser's cache and cookies. If this doesn't help, go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> "Network" tab and if you find todoist.com on the list of sites storing offline data, please remove it.
It did not help!
In chrome it works!
Please tell me:
- Which version of Firefox are you using?
- Are you accessing Todoist directly through this URL: http://todoist.com
- What happens exactly when you try to log in? Do you see an error message? If so - what does it say?
Please try to upgrade Firefox to the latest version 12.0.
If this won't help, it would be very helpful if you would also answer the questions above as only based on this information, I'm able to identify the issue.
But the problem for me is not critical.
I like the full version.
It is a pity that there is intelligent client for Android, but it's not critical.
It is critical that I can not open access to the project to other people https://todoist.com/Support/showQuestion/1664/.
How to make a few people have seen the problem, but not all of the projects?
Some projects are personal and should not be shown to be shared to other people!
Api may use and post the code to the project on their web page?
How to do it, you can set an example in the html code?
We will soon release an Android app. As we've announced recently: https://plus.google.com/106827182652048588353 in a few weeks, we will launch an beta version to try it out and get feedback from our Customers (note - the screenshots only show the raw application, it may look better in the final version, here's a small preview from our designers: http://files1.wedoist.com/a7bb614f11ccefe7e60a7e780c1d9bd0/as/Preview-34.jpg ).
As for limited access, unfortunately, it's not possible on Todoist and I'm afraid it may not be possible with the API. As I've mentioned in the other thread, we are planning to merge Todoist and Wedoist in the future which would allow delegating tasks, assigning people to tasks etc.
Add the possibility of merging accounts Todoist and Wedoist, even for premium accounts.
And then your 5 hour crashes, and the lack of certain functions in the service todoist, you are not very competitive!
And what, then, if it does not Api will bring the pages of third-party Web pages of a project?
Hello, David Trey.
I too was concerned that I could not access Todoist when I very much needed a particular list. Now, through this discussion I found today, I have learned you have a way to work with it off line. But here is my question. If your site goes down, then I try to access the off line page, will it have a copy of my last todoist tasks? Or will it just allow me to add tasks for merging when you are back on line?
Of course, it would be wonderful if I could see what I already have in todoist when your service crashes.
we've upgraded our server stack recently ( https://plus.google.com/b/106827182652048588353/106827182652048588353/posts/ExusH3BcvtM ) which should help us reach the 99.9%+ uptime mark in the future.
However, to answer your question - if you access Todoist through the mobile site http://todoist.com/m through a browser supporting HTML5 (Chrome or Firefox should work fine), it will store your complete task list in its cache. If you're online, you'll be able to sync all changes made instantly with the server, but if you're not connected to the internet, you will still see all your tasks and can make changes to them.
Your tasks will be read from the cache in your browser (which means you'll have to access the site through the same browser) and if you sync them regularly, they will be up-to-date (otherwise, you'll see the state from your last sync).
