Turn a task to a (sub) project?

K

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to change a task into a (sub) project.

Say my project "Program X" has task "learn language Y", and sometime later I want to turn this task into a sub project (of Program X) so that I can add tasks to it like "learn part 1 of language Y" etcetera.

Thanks!

Hello kolfers,

although it can't be done directly, you can create a new project, set it as a sub-project using the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+LeftArrow or Ctrl+RightArrow to indent it just as you indent a task (while editing its name) and name it like you've named the task.

If this task contains sub-tasks, you could move them to the new sub-project either by hovering over their parent task and choosing "Move to another project" from the gear menu or multi-selecting them by clicking on them while holding the Ctrl key and then choosing "Move to project" from the top menu.

Best regards,
David
