I would like to attach a contact to a task

To make it easier to carry out a specific task such as call xxxx or email xxx, can we attach a google contact to a task the same way an email can be attached to the task?

That way, by clicking the contact link, the contact details should be directly displayed.

Unfortunately, when I have opened the contacts page in Chrome: for instance https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#contact/6cd7f56b0f6dec38
and when I drop-down the Todoist extension window, clicking on the "Add email as task" will display a task as "Contact Manager" BUT when clicked, will open the gmail inbox instead of the contact.

Hello JC,

indeed, there seems to be an issue with this function when trying to link a Google Contact using the "Add email" option. I have forwarded this to the developers. Thank you for pointing it out and sorry for any inconvenience it might have caused you.

For now, as a workaround, you could simply add a direct email address as a task and it would automatically become a "mailto:" link launching your default email client if you click on it. You could also add details for this contact as a note or additional task name (using CTRL+N or CTRL+M to add it in a new line within the task name) and even list your contacts as non-task elements by putting an asterisk * in front of the task name.which would display it without a checkbox.

Best regards,

Hi David,

Wao! This a McGyver solution if I've ever seen one :)
yeah, I GUESS I could do that...
But thanks for the possible follow-up with your developers.
