Completing recurring tasks

Why don't recurring tasks get checked off or show up in the completed tasks when I complete them?

Hello Bobbee,

recurring tasks are active on your task list until you use the "Move to history" option available from the drop-down gear menu (visible at the right end when hovering over a task).

You should see every completion of recurring tasks on the "Completed" list (in the top-right corner), though.

If you don't see them there, please tell me:
- What exact due date are you using in a task that doesn't show on the list?
- Which browser are you using?
- Does this issue also occur in a different browser?
- Are you accessing Todoist directly through the website or through a plugin (if so - which one)?

Best regards,

I do see them in the master Completed list, but they don't show up in the Completed tasks at the bottom of each project's list. Is it possible for them to show up there?

the "Completed" list works more like a history of completed events while the "Show completed tasks" list as a storage for elements which are either completely finished or not used anymore (like recurring tasks moved manually) and can be recovered for future use.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to see single finished recurring events on the bottom list right now, but thank you for the suggestion, we appreciate it and may consider adding such option in future development.
