Outlook 2010 x64 issues.

When the Todoist plugin is installed, the delete key no longer works when trying to manage email lists in the email pane. If I select a different email folder, it will work again until I do anything in Todoist. Disabling the addin restores the delete key functionality.

The preferences and help link in the Outlook Todoist pane do not respond to clicking.

If you disable the addin and then add it back in, you get multiple menu entries in the Outlook addins tab.

Hello Vince,

regarding to the issue with the delete key, please make sure that after you access the Todoist plugin, you click somewhere within the Outlook window to bring focus to Outlook otherwise the "Delete" key (as well as any other key) will be functional within the Todoist plugin.

As for the preferences and help links, please tell me:
- Which is your default browser?
- Do you have Internet Explorer installed on your system?

Regarding the multiple menu entries issue, please tell me, are you using the check box to disable/enable the Todoist add-in (accessible by managing the "COM Add-ins" list, accessible at the botom of the "Add-ins" tab)? Does this happen each time you check the box again?

Best regards,

I can confirm Vince's issue with the Delete key. I am running ToDoIst on Windows 7 64-bit but my Office 2010 is 32-bit. My default browser is Firefox. When I have the ToDoIst Outlook plugin installed it disables the Delete key. I checked and it is not a focus issue.

Hello Jarlath,

thank you for reporting this issue, I've forwarder it to the developers.

I've been able to reproduce it partially. If I leave the Todoist window snapped to the default right side of the Outlook window, the Del key seems to work fine (if not hovering over the Todoist window with the cursor), but the issue occurs when I move the Todoist plugin either to snap it to a different side or simply un-snap it and then put it back to the right side.

In such case, restarting Outlook with Todoist snapped to the right side fixes this issue (until I try to move it again).

Please confirm if that's how you're experiencing it as well or does it happen also right after opening Outlook with the Todoist plugin snapped to the right side.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,

Hi David,
The only way I can get the delete key to work again is to remove the Todoist add-in. This happens when Outlook first launches with the Todoist window docked on the right side. Although I like Todoist, not being able to delete emails with a single button click is too much of a hassle. I still plan to use Todoist and home to see a fix soon.

Many thanks for your quick response! Bugs happen.

we have released a new version of our Outlook plugin in which all issues we've been able to reproduce have been fixed.

Please go to the Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs, uninstall "OutlookTodoist", download the latest version of our plugin from this location: http://todoist.com/outlook and reinstall it.

Best regards,
