Why can't I check a task for completion?

R

I have a task which has three sub-tasks, and each sub-task also has a couple of items to do. I checked each items for a sub-task completion, and checked each sub-task for completion. Everything is fine. And then I wanted to check the whole task for completion, but it just kept loading something and never ended. Even after I re-started the todoist, the same thing happened and the task still can't be checked. Anyone had this problem before? I used the firefox browser in a XP system.

Hello,

please tell me:
- What's the exact due date of the task that keeps loading when you try to check it off?
- From which view (project view, search result) are you trying to complete this task?

Best regards,
David

Hi, David. It is a repeated task (like every Wedn. and Fri. )and due on yesterday(which is Wedn.). I tried to check off yesterday, failed, tried again today, failed again. I think I tried to do it in project view.

Hope to hear from you and thank you!

Hello,

unfortunately, "every Wedn. and Fri." is not a supported date format. Please use only the date formats listed here:
http://todoist.com/Help/timeInsert

In order to set up a recurring task for every Wednesday and Friday, the proper format would be:

every wed, fri

Best regards,
David

Sorry, my mistake. It is "every wed, fri". There is no error shown as "invalid date". Here is the actual recur date I set.

every mon, wen starting 8/24

I tried this morning again, still can't check it off.

Hello,

please use the following formula:

every mon, wed starting 24. aug 2011

The shortcut for Wednesday recognized by Todoist is: "wed".

Please note that you only need to use the year at the end if the starting day has already passed, otherwise Todoist would use the next available August 24th, 2012.

Best regards,
David
