Sort by date

I would take the premium version, but there is an option, that I miss.

I would like to sort the tasks automatically by date.
When I insert a task, that dues on 30.09.11 and after this I add a task dueing at 15.08.11, this task appears UNDER the previous task that ends on 30.09.11.
The option task actions: sort by date, does not work.
This is not practical.
Is there a solution?
Best regards

Hello Mathias,

currently, the only option would be to query for a particular amount of days in the search box. This would give you a list of tasks from all projects sorted by date. You could even set a custom query as your start page.

Also, the "sort by date" function can be triggered just by pressing "s" on your keyboard.

If you would like to see a different option to sort tasks by date, please add a feature request to our Votebox:

If the "sort by date" option doesn't work, please tell me:
- What browser are you using?
- Is it the "s" keyboard shortcut that doesn't work or only the option from the drop-down menu (or both?)
- Could you please create a small example project with a couple of tasks with due dates and tell me what dates did you use and how does Todoist sort them if you choose "sort by date"?

Thanks for your quick reply.
The "s" on the keyboard works, when I click in the name of the category.
The option sort by date doesn't work.
I'm using mozilla firefox 5.0.

I think the problem is solved as I can use "s".

The keyboard shortcut "s" makes it easier, but I still have to do it for each sub-project. There should be an option of sorting a project, and all it's sub-projects by date.
