Outlook Sidebar shows, but no content
Running Windows 7 and Outlook 2010. I can load the Todoist Add-in and see the Todoist Sidebar, but it is completely empty. I can show/hide, move, and resize the sidebar, but there are no tasks, projects, or even an option to log in.
Please try to right-click within the Todoist add-in box and choose "Refresh".
If this doesn't help, try completely removing the add-in and re-installing it.
Also, make sure you're not working offline while using the Todoist add-in.
we have released a new version of the "Todoist for Outlook" add-in.
Please remove your current Outlook add-in by accessing the Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and deleting "OutlookTodoist", download the new application from:
and install it.
If you still experience any issues with the new version, please let us know.
I have the same problem, after refresh outlook is not responding...
please tell me:
- Does clearing Internet Explorer's cache and cookies solve this issue (note - clearing the cache and cookies must be done in IE regardless of which browser you're using as the default browser)?
- Which operating system are you using?
- Which version of Outlook are you using?
- Which version of Internet Explorer is installed on your system?
- Can you access this site: https://todoist.com/app?&mini=1#start directly through Internet Explorer?
-Already tried clearing IE - problem still exists.
- Win 7 32bit
-Outlook 2007 up to date.
- IE version(IE9): 9.0.8112.16421
- Yes, i was able to access that site with IE.
Already checked the toolbar stuff in the trust center, and I already reinstalled the program.
please try to remove the plugin via Add/Remove Programs (should be listed as OutlookTodoist) and install this version: https://d3vr1s9r6o6gn8.cloudfront.net/a7b64068ba19cfdf7c3b9b32905bab8c/as/install_v1.2.rar
Uninstalled the old one and installed the new one, still the window is blank, funny, but with view source I can see some stuff that should be there but it's not showing up. Again after hitting refresh on the window the icon shows the loading circle infinitely...

in Internet Explorer, in the Tools -> Internet options menu, please try to set the "Security" level for "Internet" to Medium-high and the "Privacy" settings to "Medium". While in the "Privacy" tab, make sure that the "Do not collect data for use..." option is NOT checked.
Back in the "Security settings", click on the "Trusted sites" icon, then use the "Sites" button and add todoist.com on the list and UN-check the "Require server verification..." box at the bottom.
Go to the “Privacy” tab (in “Internet Options”), click the “Advanced” button, check the “Override automatic cookie handling” box, then make sure “Accept” is selected in both First- and Third-party cookies. Also, check the “Always allow session cookies” box.
Also, please make sure the following software is installed on your computer:
- Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=20479
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4 http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=17851
Did what you suggested, but I did not find the option "Do not collect data for use...".
I have visual studio 2010 on the system so .NET 4 is installed, also the tools for office are installed as well.
Unfortunately the same thing is going on... page source can be seen, so there is content, but the add-in can't display it!
could you please look at the displayed source code, copy/paste it into Notepad, save it as todoist.html and send it as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org ?
It could help to identify the issue.
Last week miraculously the outlook addon started to work.
I logged in, and luckily it works since that. What could be the problem I don't really know...
