Date picker changed today :(

Hello cool people!

I'm really enjoying this app.
Until today, when I pressed the 'Calendar' icon, it opened a box showing a few months, with easy possibility to swipe up for future months.

Now, today - for reasons absolutely unknown, it started displaying the stupid Apple 'wheel' also sometimes seen when using drop down menus on iOS.

It is extremely annoying and makes it frustratingly hard to pick dates 2-6 weeks later.

Does anyone:

1. Know what the deal is?
2. Have a solution for this extremely tiring failure?

I have searched google and looked through this forum, but haven't been able to find anyone with the same problem (which makes it even more weird).

Sorry for textwall, I really hope someone can help me, as this makes the app next to useless for ny needs :-(

I'm running iOS 7.0.4 on iPad Air.

Cheers for a great product!

We're sorry for the inconvenience, we'll look into it now and see if we can bring the calendar back in next updates.

I agree - Apple's implementation of that stupid scroll wheel is horrible, and I dumped my last task manager to go to Todoist because of the calendar (well, at least it was one of the reasons).

I'm sure it's hard to cater to everyone's use case, but this is a serious blow to my functionality, and I'm glad to read that I'm not the only one disappointed by the change.

Maybe it can be an option for users to use the calendar?

Hello Chris,

We're sorry for the inconvenience, we'll look into it, though teh main reasons for these change were the speed of the custom calendar (much slower than the date picker) and the option to choose a time through teh date picker, not available through the calendar which required multiple steps to then edit the picked date and type in a time.

Chris - thanks for the backup / input! :-) glad to know I'm not alone in this.

David - thanks for the swift reply. I do see the reason why someone would prefer the wheel, having short deadlines (1-5 days) where exact time is og the essence.

For me, however, the larger time span is by far most relevant to me. I really for for an option to choose, as I feel that I've finally found the right app for my projects.

I also would like a return to the old calendar. It's very convenient to be able to visually see the month as many people think that way.

I would like to see a setting where I can switch between the two solutions. That would be best for. Everyone I think...
