Hi Allson,

Open up your Settings area for your iOS device, from there go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Click on the "Add Acount" button and select "Other". You can then choose "Add Subscribed Calendar" which is at the bottom of the page, and enter our URL (from Todoist.com, Settings page) into this area.

This should add our feed to your iOS calendar app.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon,
I've trying to follow your indications, but after pasting the URL it tells me that it cannot connect to SSL. What does that mean?

Hi,

Where did you get the problem? Mac? iPhone? iPad? Can you try adding this from your Calendar app in your Mac if you have one and have not done that yet? Does it give you the same error?

Regards,

Clyde

Sorry, I didn't tell you I was trying to do it on an iPad Air. And
sorry, but I don't have a Mac, unfortunately.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Please try adding it again. I just tested it and I was able to add my iCal subscription without the SSL error. Here's the steps again for reference:

1. go to settings
2. Tap on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
3. Click on "Add Account"
4. Select "Other"
5. Choose "Add Subscribe Calendar"

Do you get the problem still?

Regards,

Clyde

Thanks for your reply.

I've just followed your steps and at the end it asks for my server but I
don't know what to put.

Alison

Hi Allison,

Use the web version of the app. To get the URL, go to Todoist Setting -> "Accounts" tab. At the bottom of that window, there should be the "Copy the URL" section and beside it would be the actual URL that you need to use. It should look like this:

https://ext.todoist.com/Export/icalTodoist?user_id=1683196&csrf_token=a5987654f18c342jksjfadfs_factor=2199

Hi Clyde,
Finally got to sync my calendar with iOS calendar. The problem was that I
kept copying the URL from my iPad, and it didn't work. When I copied it
from the browser, it worked perfect.
Thank you very much for your help!

Hi Clyde,

I have the same problem. In fact it is impossible to copy the entire link on the iPad. Seems to be a bug.

You should have a look at it.

Thanks.

Hi Dominik,

Can you please let me know which link are you referring to? Is it the iCal feed URL that you pasted in a task or a note? Please let me know so I can report this to our team if needed. Thanks in advance!

Hi Clyde

See the screen shot attached.

My question : I copied the link into my google calendar. Problem though, it is not synchronized on my iPad or Mac. Any way to link it to the apple calendar ?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Dominik,

Probably, you forgot to attach the screenshot :)

You should be able to sync your Todoist account with the Apple Calendar.

After you have copied the iCal feed URL, please open the Calendar app for Mac. Then click on File →New Calendar Subscription and paste the iCal feed.

Please let us know if it works for you!

Galina

How do I sync my Mac calendar up? Also, I'm not finding how to sync up my hotmail?

Hi Travis,

First, you need to copy the the iCal feed URL by going to Todoist Setting → General. Once you have the URL, open the Calendar Mac app and go to File → New Calendar Subscription and paste the iCal feed. :-)

Hi Travis,

Does Hotmail support subscribing to iCal feeds? I did a quick search and it seems there's no way to do that yet. Can you please confirm with them if that's possible?

You should be able to subscribe using any app as long as it accepts an iCal feed.

Well, I have outlook on my Mac, and I saw that todoist syncs with outlook,
however I can¹t use the ³outlook² link because I have a mac. Is there
something I¹m missing that I can do it that way?

Hi Travis,

We unfortunately don't have any plug-ins for the Apple Mail app or Outlook for Mac yet. We'll consider developing one in the future.

That really sucks and basically makes this app is unusable to me. They should clarify that. If it says outlook and email supported I assumed that to be true. I’m even more ticked I paid for the upgrade.

Thanks for your help, but what I thought was exactly what I needed has now become totally useless. Please pass that along

there is a bug on your website for the iCal feed link. the text control used to display the link does not work well from a mobile device such as iPad. we are not able to select the whole link (and thus we cannot copy the link). please try this from a mobile device to replicate. screen shot attached.

Hi,

I have now suggested to our developers to have an easier way to copy using mobile devices. For now, please copy the URL from the web and save it as note in a task so you can just easily copy it in your phone/tablet.

Really sorry for the inconvenience and we'll look into improving this.

Clyde
