A couple of questions re Reminders and registered devices
My default setting for reminders is to be sent via push notification. When checking this today, I tried the SMS reminder "test" and was reminded of something I've noticed before but never reported since it's not the setting I typically use for reminders.
When sent via SMS, the test message is duplicated twice within the text message. I'm assuming this is not intended and requires a fix.
My other query is about editing the devices my reminder messages are sent to. I had multiple references to registered devices. Some of the names of the devices were identical (e.g. 2 iPhone devices; 3 iPad devices...) but there was no way of discerning why multiple references to the same device existed (was one referring to SMS set-up, and the other to push notification set-up?). I decided to delete all devices from the list and re-register only the ones I wanted registered, and only to receive push notifications, but I can't see any reference anywhere on how to do this.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
This is indeed not the intended behavior. Is there anything about these messages? Such as, does it occur with all types of tasks/reminders, or only certain ones?
As for registered devices, every time you install the app on your device, it gets added. So this could just be old installs. There should be an X beside each one which will allow you to remove them. Once you do that, install it, and there should only be one registered.
I've reinstalled the apps and everything appears to be cleared up re registered devices. Thanks!
As far as the SMS messages go, I don't use Todoist SMS reminders, so I can only say that I've noticed it when I use the SMS reminders "test" link under Settings --> Reminders. The message appears like this: email@example.com Subj: Todoist SMS reminders work! Remember if your task is due "today at 10am" Todoist will send a reminder 30 minutes before this deadline! Todoist SMS reminders work! Remember if your task is due "today at 10am" Todoist will send a reminder 30 minutes before this deadline!
Thank you for your report, I've passed the test SMS issue to the developers.
