Stuck reminder

Hi there, there is already the question 6512 - push notification stuck for a completed task.

Any progress on that topic?

I don't like the approach: uninstall and re-install, as this will not solve the problem in the long run but only temporarily.

At the moment I have two completed tasks for which I'm getting push notifications: first one includes the string "Clean new furniture", and 2nd one includes the string "Buy ingredients"

One was scheduled for yesterday @20:30, and the other one for 20:45 with 30 mins push reminder. I can't remember if I completed them before the reminder was sent or after. But I take it you can find this out from your log files?

I'm using the trial 1 month version of Todoist and solving this issue would help me decide if I will become a paid member.

Can you help?

Many thanks for your time,

Using Todoist 6.0.4 (11031) on the latest iOS 6 version on iPhone

That's the other question I picked up with very similar use case and unusual behaviour https://todoist.com/Support/showQuestion/6512/

Out of words... I'm uncompleting that task, and marking it due today. I add a comment, and I keep getting push notifications for the one yesterday!!

Hello Michail,

Unfortunately, we no longer support the iOS 6 version of our app, but please tell me - are you often offline? Push notifications are sent through the internet so if you were offline at the time a notification should arrive, it will arrive as you reconnect.

We suspect the issue of multiplied notifications to be related to Apple's servers (which send them), but again - we'll no longer support the 6.0.4 version of our app. If the issue persists on the iOS 7 version, please let us know.

Best regards,

Hello Support,

I am getting this issue on a task I completed 3 days ago. I am on iOS 7 and using the latest version of the app on an iPhone 4S. Appreciate your help!

Hi Ralph,

This is an issue that we can't replicate yet but as a workaround, can you please go ahead and remove the reminder notification for that task? Also, could you note what type of reminder you've selected and it's settings? That might help us figure out what's going on with it.

Hi Clyde

Since my last message, I deleted the completed task in question so I can't quite advise what reminder type was used (if I recall correctly, I didn't assign one). In any case, deleting the completed task stopped the notifications from popping up on my iPhone notifications.
