Adding SubTasks in iPhone

Is there a way to add a subtask to an existing task on the iphone? I see how to mark a task a sub task but not how to associate it with another task so it becomes a sub task of a parent task.

Also, how and where do I see completed tasks on the iphone?

Thank you.

Hello Scott,

To change the indent level of an existing task to make it a sub-task, please tap on it, go to "Edit" and one of the menu elements (the one at the bottom) will allow you to select an indent level. Pick one, save the task and it will be a sub-task. You can then drag & drop it (long-press and hold the task) to move it below any task you would like to become the parent task of it.

Unfortunately, it's currently not possible to view completed tasks on the iOS app, but we'll consider adding such option to our mobile apps and you're welcome to vote for this request in our Votebox: https://todoist.com/Vote_iOS/showProposal/7/

This post is about a year old, and the votebox is closed, but I feel this should be a high priority for Todoist to fix. If you have a feature it should work similarly on the desktop and the mobile app. Right now, if I have a Priority 1 task on the desktop with many subtasks I can click a little triangle and see them all, but on the iPhone (looking in my list of Priority 1 tasks) I don't even see that those subtasks exist! There isn't any way to see them or access them except to go back to the top level and find the project list...

In another thread they say that they are going to fix this, although it isn't clear when:

"Sub-tasks will show as separate tasks in date-based views or any other search results on any platform. We will add better sub-task support in these views so that you'll be able to collapse/expand the parent task just as on the web."

Glad to hear it. I was about to delete the app because it was not behaving as expected, but maybe I'll wait a bit..

Hello Kerim,

We're sorry for the delays, for the last year we kept shuffling between implementing new features on iOS so that more features won't miss and at the same time add some of the missing once, though we haven't got to this one yet, unfortunately, but we're confident that we will in near future. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Just seeing I'm not the only one surprised by the time you take to set this up.
Please do it

We're looking into improving how sub-tasks are handled in the next major version of the iOS app. Stay tune for more news! :-)

So we are paying for a feature which is available but not working properly ? So why heck did you released this version and did not disable it ?

When is this major version expected ?

This subtasks are Curial to me

I should have mentioned that adding a sub-task should now be possible in the current version of the iOS app. To add a sub-task, you'll have to add or edit a task and select the sub-task level for that particular task (level 1-4).

If you're still unable to add a sub-task, can you please let me know which part isn't exactly working for you? Can you maybe give me some steps to reproduce the problem?

What's currently not supported though is expanding/collapsing sub-task but is something that's coming in the next major version. Adding a sub-tasks in the next version will also be greatly improved.

Unfortunately, we don't have an ETA as to when it will be available but we'll share more info as we get them.

So disappointed at your lack of integrity. I have spent hours converting from swipes which has subtasks to your manager which advertises you can have subtasks
How do I get my money back

Hi Wayne,

Can you please let me know exactly what the issue is? Maybe I can help you with it? As for a refund, we'll need the transaction ID or order number of your purchase so we can process this for you.
