How do I recover from this crash without losing data?

while downloading update 7.0.1 and 7.0.2 for my iPad yesterday, my todoist crashed. the icon has been showing that it is 'loading' for the past 12 hours.

Hi Russell,

All your account data is stored on our servers, you should be able to remove the app and reinstall without issue.
