Bug: iOS version ignores task order on sync

So, here's the setup. I'm using a web based (Chrome 29.0.1547.66m), Windows, iPad, and Android versions of the app. Most of the time is spent in Windows, Android, and web versions, and the sync of task order for projects and day views between the three works perfectly.

However, every time I turn to the iOS version (iPad), it syncs the tasks and then completely ignores the order of their sort. What's worse, it then proceeds to push out its own order breaking it on all other versions.

It appears that the only way to keep task order in sync is to either drive it entirely off iOS device or ensure every time I reoder something elsewhere the change does make it to the iOS. None of which is really a solution.

Hi NIck,

Which version of iOS does your iPad have? Please make sure to also be updated to the latest version of our app. Please try logging out of our app and back in again.

Let me know if it continues after doing so.

I'm running it on iPad Mini (MD528LL/A), had this issue with older iOS 6.0.x and continue seeing it on iOS 7.0...

Downloading the latest 7.0.2, will see what's happening there.

Just got the latest version for iOS (that came down the pipe yesterday), and I observe the same behavior. If the iOS version gets out of sync, i.e. not sync'ed for a few hours or days depending on activity, when it syncs again and completely ignores the order of tasks in the cloud, it may even ignore its own order, and will order everything by priority, project, and then some sort of "task creation" date.

The new app features background sync so whether you use it or not, it will update automatically anyway.

Please clarify - does this happen on every view, that is - within a project as well as on 7 days or today?

Interesting question... This definitely happens for Today and 7 Days. I have a feeling this may also be happening for the projects. But there it is hardly a problem for me since within the projects I sort everything by date and you have a handy shortcut.

Right now I'm too afraid of launching the iPad version... Too busy of a week, don't want to go and re-arrange 20-30 tasks/day for the next 7 days.

But I will keep that in mind and will confirm one way or the other. For now there is definitely an issue for "combined" views.
