Erratic re-sorting

I am using your iPad app version 6.0.3.

When I am in a Today view and do manual reordering of the list, then once in few second the list is automatically re-sorted and my changes are often undone.

This also happens in some other views - for example in lists for tags.

This is extremely annoying!

What could be going wrong?

Hello Irek,

Please tell me - do the tasks you resort have due times? If so, these can't be reordered on the Today list as the primary fixed order for any date-based view if by time first (then by priority).

It's not possible to reorder tasks on the label search result list on the web, therefore a changed order on the iOS app will indeed not be maintained. We'll look into adding such options in the future.

Best regards,
David

Dear David,

Thanks for your reply!

No - I do not use the due times.

I have observed the phenomena a bit more yesterday. It looks like the result of sorting is not completely deterministic. Sometimes I see when just browsing a list, that re-sorting takes place and that the order of some tasks is reversed without any reasons.

I observe it at least in the following views:

today view
list with tasks of the priority 1
a smart list (filter) with the following filter (overdue,p1,p2)

When browsing I sometimes modify the tasks - i.e. manually change the order, due date or priority.

Thanks in advance for you help!

Greetings,

Irek

Irek,

We'll look into it in future updates, but please note that only the today view (out of those you've mentioned) allows reordering of tasks. On the web, it's not even possible to drag & drop tasks on a priority list so the iOS app shouldn't allow it too for consistency, but again - we'll look into it.

Best regards,
David
